December Membership Meeting -December 2nd 2025- Needles at the Ready
Needles at the Ready Podcast
Needles at the Ready is a warm, welcoming knitting and fiber-arts podcast where we share our love of making, our creative journeys, and the sense of community that inspired us to start the show. Each episode blends project updates, yarn talk, spinning and dyeing adventures, honest reflections, and plenty of laughter.
Whether we’re chatting about new techniques, sharing beautiful yarns, talking about everyday life, or celebrating what inspires us, our goal is simple: to spend time with fellow fiber friends and help build a community where everyone feels welcome.
Perfect for seasoned makers, new knitters, or anyone who enjoys genuine conversation and the soothing rhythm of creativity, Needles at the Ready invites you to pull up a chair, pick up your project, and join us.
Ray
Ray is a nurse who began his fiber journey with crochet before branching into knitting about five years ago. As co-host of the Needles at the Ready Podcast, he brings warmth, humor, and a welcoming spirit to every episode. Ray’s approach to making is grounded, joyful, and community-minded — the same qualities that inspired him and Kevin to start the podcast as a way to connect with like-minded fiber folks and build a space where makers feel at home.
Kevin
Kevin is a knitter, spinner, and yarn dyer with three years of dyeing experience and a deep love for fiber in all its forms. He picked up knitting about ten years ago after reading a book in which characters used knitting as a way to welcome new babies and new community members — a theme that continues to influence his creative outlook today. As co-host of the Needles at the Ready Podcast, Kevin blends curiosity, creativity, and a touch of playful humor, helping foster the sense of community that he and Ray set out to create.
